Such a sales volume would be $900 million more than in any previous year, fiscal or calendar. The department said more of the increase will be in sales for dollars.

The biggest export gainers over fiscal 1963 are wheat, cotton, feed grains, soybeans, animal fats, dairy products and rice. Only soybean oil, flaxseed, rye and hides and skins so far have failed to equal shipments in fiscal 1963. S. Supreme Court Monday refused to review a decision overturning conviction of the Communist Party of the U. S. for failure to register under the Internal Security Act. The refusal leaves the lower court decision standing.

The Supreme Court's action was announced in a brief order that gave no reason. Justice Byron R. White, formerly deputy attorney general, took no part in consideration of the case. The lower court's decision was by a three-judge of the U. S.

Court of Appeals here. The Justice Department had asked the Supreme Court to hear argument in the case and reverse the lower court. The Appeals Court held that the Govenment had failed to prove anyone was available to the party who could sign the registration statement without incriminating himself. Urging reversal of the decision, the Government appeal questioned whether party officers may refuse to register for the party they cannot possibly incriminate themselves because, the statute prohibits any information obtained by registration from being introduced in evidence in a judicial proceeding." Anyway, the appeal said, "no new leads to other information can result (from registration) since party officials have publicly stated their The party had been fined $120,000 for failing to. list with the Justice Department the names of its officers and members, the amount and sources of its income, the amount and purposes of its expenditures, and the location of its printing presses.

The fine was set aside by the Court of Appeals decision. SALES OF CORN BY PRODUCERS SET A RECORD: WASHINGTON, June 9 (P) Producer sales of corn from the 1963 crop will be the largest on record, both in total and as a percentage of the production. In explaining the increase, the department said more and more farmers are selling their corn and buying back processed feeds for their hogs, cattle and poultry.

Therefore less and less straight corn is being fed, it said, on farms where it is grown. The department said farmers will have sold of last year's oats crop, of the barley crop and of the sorghum grain crop.
