iOS 18 - Working and Non-working apps thread (2024)

Use this forum to update, check or talk about Apps that aren't working properly during the iOS 18 cycle.

This is a Wiki Thread for the latest updates.

Non-Working Apps

• Apple Reality Composer (launches, but when plus symbol is hit, cannot create anything nothing happens)
• BACtrack - Breathalyzer app - Launches and spins when connecting to BAC device
• Bluelink - Hyundai app (working as of Jun 24 update)
• CaixaBank - Spain (launches but bank accounts not loading)
• HelloFresh
• New York Times (working as of Jun 17 update)
• Nordstrom
• NS&I
• Omnivore
• Oceanic+ (Huish sent an e-mail specifically warning users not to update to the betas)
• Voice dream - opens, but doesn't show articles (it did work for another user so YMMV)
• Citrix Workspace (Crashes when connecting to VDI Host)
• 7Shifts (June 19 update broke it)

Partially Working

• Nanoleaf (weird tile flickering - although not sure if it's broken on iOS 17 or not)
• Audible - minor delay in audio playing when flicking to Amazon app (at least) and back
• Zoom - report of screen sharing not working correctly.
• MyVerizon prompt you to login each time you open it.
• Verizon Call Filter opens but says you are not subscribed.
• TradeRepublic (Display of graphs of individual shares or saving plans does not work)
• X/Twitter - Freezes screen sometimes had to be forced close. Doesn’t upload threaded tweets.
• Ice Cubes - Feed sluggish and sometimes freezes. App crashes somewhat frequently.
• Sam's Club app works for shopping BUT the "scan-n-go" in store scanner does not work so you cannot use that feature in store
• Microsoft Remote Desktop - Magic Keyboard doesn't type unless you have the onscreen keyboard selected
• Sonos - Trueplay Tuning doesn't work as the wizard gets stuk at "start tuning"

TBF It was working in 17 B1

i cant even see iOS 18 dev beta in the Beta Updates on phone!

For science Got a few UK banking apps to test

I’m with first direct. Hopefully now they have got rid of that awful device key lock-in thing it will be a lot better.
